Mărturiile unui preot din regiunea sicialiană Vittoria, combinate cu explozia numărului de avorturi din zonă, au scos la iveală drama a peste 1.000 de românce, exploatate de patroni şi folosite drept sclave sexuale, scrie „Corriere della Sera”.
În Vittoria, o comună siciliană cu 60.000 de locuitori, în fiecare săptămână au loc şase avorturi. Rata este una uriaşă, raportată la numărul locuitorilor, iar primarul localităţii a cerut lămuriri Ministerului Sănătăţii, transmite cotidianul italian „Corriere della Sera”. Fenomenul ar fi cauzat de avansul semnificativ înregistrat în ultimii ani de agricultorii din zonă, care şi-au angajat muncitoare din România pe care le folosesc şi ca sclave sexuale.
Preotul Beniamino Sacco din Vittoria povesteşte că fermierii organizează adevărate orgii sexuale, la care principala atracţie sunt româncele. Revoluţia agricolă şi sexuală din Vittoria a început în urmă cu câţiva ani, când fermierii au început să-şi ridice sere, ceea ce a făcut ca producţia locală de roşii, cunoscută în toată peninsula, să nu mai fie sezonieră. Cum forţa locală de muncă nu a făcut faţă, fermierii au apelat la imigranţi, iar româncele s-au dovedit de nădejde: peste 1.000 lucrează acum în serele din Vittoria.
Criza economică a adus însă presiuni uriaşe pe piaţa muncii din Italia, împovărată de o rată a şomajului de aproape 13% – în rândul tinerilor, procentul sare la peste 44%. În plus, roşiile cherry s-au ieftinit semnificativ, producătorii vânzând acum la 0,1 euro kilogramul către intermediari. Produsul ajunge pe rafturile hipermarketurilor cu 1,5 euro kilogramul.
„Tunisienii pe care-i vedeai acum câţiva ani în zonele rurale din regiunea Ragusa au fost înlocuiţi de români, care au devenit cetăţeni europeni în 2008. Nord-africanii erau mai profesionişti, cereau salarii mai mari şi formau o comunitate omogenă şi bine închegată, spre deosebire de noii veniţi. Românii acceptă salarii mici (cel mult 25 de euro pe zi, la negru, fără nicio contribuţie la stat), acceptă să fie plătiţi cel mai adesea la final de recoltă şi, mai presus decât orice altceva, nu reprezintă o comunitate capabilă să se apere sau să-şi ceară drepturile”, scriu jurnaliştii italieni.
„Mai bine de 40% din imigranţii români sunt femei. Vin aici în autobuze din regiunea Botoşani pentru că au persoane care depind de ele acasă, mai mereu un copil născut prea devreme dintr-o relaţie care n-a funcţionat. În Vittoria sunt în jur de 4.000 de imigranţi români, dintre care 1.600-1.800 sunt femei, cu vârste cuprinse între 20 şi 40 de ani, care lucrează şase zile pe săptămână, câte 11 ore pe zi, în sere”, continuă aceştia.
„Problema este că muncitorii români trăiesc aproape de sere. Dorm în foste hambare sau magazii, pereţii nu sunt izolaţi, iar pământul le este podea. Toaletele sunt afară. Muncitorii trăiesc şi dorm izolaţi, în condiţii îngrozitoare. În sud-estul SIciliei, viaţa la oraş este separată de secole de viaţa la sat. Dacă oraşul are străzile lui de lux, cu boutique-uri, terase şi restaurante de cinci stele şi magazine de firmă, româncele care lucrează în zona rurală de-abia au de-ajuns bani pentru a trăi şi pentru a trimite puţin copiilor lor şi mătuşilor sau bunicilor care au grijă de aceştia”, continuă „Corriere della Sera”.
Acestea sunt motivele de la baza sclaviei sexuale în care aleg să trăiască româncele. „Nu există episoade care să şocheze prin violenţă, nu există atacuri oribile sau ambulanţe care aleargă spre spital. Sclavia sexuală a devenit norma.”
Preotul Beniamino Sacco estimează că în jur de 1.500 de femei trăiesc în acest fel, la mila „stăpânilor”. Unele au devenit prostituate, altele sunt soţii iubitoare, altele aşteaptă ca şefii lor să-şi părăsească soţiile pentru ele. Majoritatea, însă, trăiesc într-o zonă gri, într-un soi de coabitare forţată cu agresorii, din care nu au nicio scăpare. Dacă-şi pierd locul de muncă, nu mai au unde dormi şi ar trebui să se întoarcă acasă.
Italienii refuză să folosească prezervative, astfel că obişnuinţa devine dramă atunci când se ajunge la avort. În câteva cazuri critice, femeile au aşteptat până când nu s-a mai putut face avort, aşa că au născut. La fel ca soţii lor, italiencele nu vor scandal. Multe dintre ele se plâng preotului Beniamino că româncele muncesc prea dezbrăcate – temperatura în sere ajunge până la 50 de grade Celsius.
Majoritate dintre ele închid însă ochii atunci când soţii aleg să doarmă la fermă în timpul verii şi nu în casele din oraş, cu ele. „Soţii lor au în jur de 50-60 de ani, puţină educaţie şi ştiu că vremurile bune s-au dus. Sunt obişnuiţi să dea ordine, aşa că le-a venit natural să preia controlul asupra libertăţii sexuale a angajatelor lor.”
Părintele Beniamino Sacco a pornit, alături de sindicatul de muncitori CGIL, o campanie pentru eradicarea acestui fenomen – spre nemulţumirea fermierilor şi a primarului din Vittoria, Giuseppe Nicosia, care se teme că roşiile cherry din zonă ar putea deveni sinonime cu sclavia şi boicotate de clienţi.
Părintele Sacco şi filiala locală a CGIL au înfiinţat un adăpost în Vittoria pentru femeile abuzate. Beppe Scifo, unul dintre secretarii CGIL, nu aşteaptă însă ca femeile să vină la adăpost.
