Comisia Federală de Comunicaţii, arondată Guvernului de la Washington, tocmai a anunţat că va vota luna viitoare pentru distrugerea neutralităţii internetului. Astfel că autorităţile din Statele Unite ale Americii vor putea controla cu atenţie tot ce se întâmplă online şi vor putea legifera în acest sens.
Preşedintele Comisiei, Ajit Pai, a declarat că noua propunere legslativă de peste ocean va şterge efectele Titlului II, cel care reglementa serviciile oferite de providerii de internet, şi îi ţinea sub control pe aceştia, mai ales în ceea ce priveşte regulile de concurenţă loială. Asta înseamnă că fiecare operator care oferă servicii de internet îşi va putea impune mult mai uşor regulile exclusiviste, şi vom asista, practic, la un internet limitat, controlat.
Chiar dacă măsura va fi luată doar la nivelul Statelor Unite, asta nu înseamnă că efectele sale nu vor fi resimţite în toată lumea.
