LOVITURĂ a Administrației TRUMP: SUA se retrag din acordul comercial Parteneriatul Trans-Pacific
Noua adminstraţie americană a preşedintelui Donald Trump a transmis vineri că strategia sa pentru protejarea locurilor de muncă ale americanilor va începe cu retragerea din acordul comercial Parteneriatul Trans-Pacific (TPP), la care au aderat 12 state, informează Reuters.
Într-un comunicat transmis de Casa Albă imediat după învestirea lui Trump se subliniază că SUA vor “avea o poziţie severă împotriva statelor care încalcă acordurile comerciale şi îi afectează în acest proces astfel pe lucrătorii americani”.
Conform comunicatului, Trump vrea renegocierea unui al acord comercial, Acordul Nord-American de Comerţ Liber (NAFTA), care a fost semnat în 1994 de către SUA, Canada şi Mexic.
“Prea mult timp americanii au fost forţaţi să accepte acorduri comerciale care pun interesele iniţiaţilor şi elitei de la Washington deasupra bărbaţilor şi femeilor care muncesc din greu în această ţară”, se arată în comunicat.
“Prin urmare, oraşele industriale au văzut cum fabricile şi locurile de muncă bine plătite se mută în străinătate, în timp ce americanii se confruntă cu un deficit comercial tot mai mare şi cu o bază de producţie devastată”, mai subliniază Casa Albă.
Comunicatul arată că ar putea fi folosite ‘acorduri dure şi corecte’ privind comerţul pentru a creşte economia americană şi a aduce în apoi în America milioane de locuri de muncă.
“Această strategie începe prin retragerea din Parteneriatul Trans-Pacific şi prin a ne asigura că orice noi acorduri comerciale sunt în interesul lucrătorilor americani”, se atrage atenţia în comunicat.
Dacă partenerii din NAFTA vor refuza să le ofere lucrătorilor americani un acord corect prin renegocierea lui, atunci “atunci preşedintele îi va informa de intenţia SUA de a se retrage din NAFTA”, a adăugat comunicatul.
TPP, pe care SUA l-au semnat, dar încă nu l-au ratificat, a fost principalul pilon economic al politicii de reorientare a Administraţiei Obama către regiunea Asia-Pacific în faţa unei Chine care se dezvoltă rapid.
