Fiori reci la Londra: Soros investește în aur înainte de referendum
După aproape un deceniu în care nu a mai tranzacționat, George Soros revine și pariază pe turbulențe în economia mondială. Soros s-a implicat personal și a decis ca fondul de investiții al familiei sale,care deține un capital de 30 de miliarde de dolari, să cumpere aur și acțiuni la companiile miniere, anticipând o perioada de turbulențe economice.
Aceasta revenire a lui Soros a atras imediat atenția, din două motive. O dată, Soros s-a dedicat în ultimii circa zece ani doar acțiunilor filantropice și conferințelor internaționale. A doua oară, orice mișcare făcută de Soros care contrazice logica momentului economic este privită cu mare atenție, având în vedere că în acest fel a reușit să îngenunchieze Banca Angliei în 1992 și să obțină un profit de 1 miliard de dolari.

China se află în fața unei lupte în rândul conducerii, iar acest lucru va reduce abilitatea Beijingului de a gestiona problemele financiare”, a spus Soros, citat de Wall Street Journal.
Apoi, Soros consideră că există o probabilitate destul de mare ca UE să se prăbușească sub loviturile imigrației și ale posibilei ieșiri a Marii Britanii. ”Dacă Marea Britanie se retrage, atunci vom avea un exod general și dezintegrarea UE va fi inevitabilă”, spune Soros, care arată însă că, pe măsură ce ne apropiem de referendumul de pe 23 iunie, tabăra pro-europeană pare tot mai puternică. ”Piețele nu au întotdeauna dreptate, dar în acest caz sunt de acord cu ele”.
The Wall Street Journal amintește că Soros a tranzacționat ultima dată în 2007, când era îngrijorat de bula imobiliară din SUA. A mizat atunci pe o implozie în următorii doi ani, a avut dreptate și a câștigat peste un miliard de dolari. Acum Soros pariază din nou.
