Unde merg banii luati in numele lui Dumnezeu.
Stiti de ce au incercat acum vreo cateva zile niste preoti romani sa fure mana sfantului Haralambie de la o manastire din Grecia? Suna ca un banc prost, dar stirea este cat se poate de reala. Pentru bani, desigur. Bisericile cu moaste in dotare sunt infinit mai profitabile decat cele fara. Cu cat sfantul e mai tare, cu atat afacerea merge mai bine. N-ai moaste, n-ai parte. In cozile lungi la moastele sf Parascheva, publicul vede expresia credintei sau prostiei, dupa caz, politicienii vad o buna ocazie de a se baga in seama (tot parlamentul si-a luat liber pentru asta in aceste zile), ziaristii bifeaza subiectul iar preotii, ah, preotii ies cei mai castigati.

Trebuie sa va povestesc asta, nu mai pot altfel. Se intampla in Araci, un sat la vreo 20 de km de Brasov, in judetul Covasna. M-am nimerit, cumva, saptamana trecuta, la o actiune caritabila organizata de un ONG si o banca, la o gradinita pentru copii foarte saraci. Banca si ONG-ul platesc unor familii nevoiase un mic ajutor financiar cu conditia esentiala sa-si trimita copiii la gradinita. Mai era nevoie de spatii pentru noile grupe de copii, altfel destul de numeroase. Cei din Araci au identificat spatiile necesare in niste cladiri nefolosite aflate in proprietatea Bisericii. Mi-au povestit cum preotul local s-a oferit bucuros, atentie mare, sa le inchirieze cladirea. Ce atata mila si caritate! Banii jos, altfel ura si la gara! 15 milioane de lei pe luna si cu observatia facuta mai tarziu ca ar trebui marita chiria daca tot sunt buni platnici. Preotul s-ar fi plans ulterior ca asa i s-a cerut de sus si ca este presat, la randul lui, sa scoata bani din piatra seaca. Nu stiu daca asa o fi cum zice preotul, dar am constatat cu ochii mei cum Biserica s-a indepartat complet in unele locuri de misiunea ei, cum s-a dezumanizat si transformat intr-o mizerabila afacere. Cum poate un preot sa pretinda chirie pentru gazduirea unor loviti de soarta? Ce face el pentru sufletele alea nenorocite din parohia lui in afara de faptul ca le jumuleste la nunti/ botezuri/ inmormantari si pe oriunde le prinde? Cum se mai poate uita in ochii satenilor dupa proba asta de indiferenta la suferintele altora, ce exemplu de “ajutata-ti aproapele” reprezinta el in fata comunitatii locale? Stiu ca vi se pare poate nesemnificativ, nimic nou sub soare, inca un exemplu de alienare sociala si cam atat. Dupa ce veti fi privit in ochii acelor copii veti intelege poate ce nu pot sa spun aici, in niste biete cuvinte, oricat m-as stradui sa le aleg.
S-a intamplat apoi sa vorbesc cu un preot ortodox onest si putin revoltat de modul cum functioneaza BOR ca o mare corporatie sub conducerea Patriarului Daniel pe post de CEO. Da, preotul in cauza a admis ca li se cere tot mai multi bani si ca asta nu scuza cu nimic alienarea unora. Tot ce voi relata in randurilor de mai jos este versiunea unor oameni din interiorul Bisericii.
In Bucuresti, de pilda, preotii trebuie sa plateasca lunar intre 1000 de RON si 3000 de RON, in functie de marimea parohiei, pentru trustul de presa (Trinitas TV, agentia Basilica etc). Astfel, biserici bogate din Capitala ca Icoanei, Zlatari sau Kretulescu contribuie cu mii de lei, bani care ajung mai sus, la Patriarhie.
Apoi, preotii sunt obligati sa cumpere intre 30 si 100 de abonamente la ziarul Lumina. Abonamentul este de 20 de lei pe luna. Daca nu-l pot vari pe gatul enoriasilor, preotul ramane cu abonamentele si le plateste din buzunar.
Fiecare preot din Bucuresti trebuie sa contribuie apoi lunar cu sume cuprinse intre 50 si 100 de lei pentru Catedrala Mantuirii Neamului. Si acesti bani ajung la Patriarhie, fie primiti!
Mai sunt apoi colectele obligatorii (pentru Duminica Ortodoxiei, Pastorul cel Bun), alte cateva sute de lei pe an, Domnul fie laudat!
Avem apoi o stire recenta, publicata de Adevarul, despre 60 de preoti din Bacau mutati disciplinar pentru ca au vandut prea putine lumanari!
Viata preotului paroh se transforma incet intr-un mic iad, in care ochiul dracului ii face semne tot mai insistent. Daca vrea sa picteze o icoana in Biserica, exista o mica masonerie a pictorilor agreati de Patriarhie cu preturi fixe. Nu se apuca orice zugrav de colorat sfinti pe pereti. Nimic din ce discutam acum nu intra in circuitul fiscal. Cutia milei dintr-o Biserica dotata cu moaste vandabile se sigilieaza si se deschide la Patriarhie. Bisericile dispun apoi de proprietati pe care (asa cum am vazut ca se intampla in amarata comuna Araci) le inchiriaza pe mii si zeci de mii de euro. In capitala, Biserica dispune de proprietati in Centrul Vechi sau alte zone centrale.
Dar nici preotul paroh, oricat de jumulit ar fi de superiori, nu o duce prea rau daca are norocul unei parohii mari. Nuntile si botezurile sunt nimic pe langa marea afacere cu moartea: cimitirul. Un loc de veci betonat frumos ajunge la 12.000 de lei pentru urmatorii sapte ani petrecuti in neant. Daca vrei mai mult, platesti in plus. Am vazut apoi recent intr-un reportaj TV preoti de tara lansati puternic in afaceri cu servicii funerare complete. O parohie bogata din Bucuresti (Militari, blocuri multe, popor mult), ajunge sa produca in jur de 7 miliarde de lei vechi pe an (peste 150 de mii de euro).
Uitati-va putin la cifrele de mai sus ganditi-va ca in tara sunt peste 13.000 de parohii si peste 18.000 de preoti. Ganditi-va apoi cam cati bani ajung in visteria Patriarhiei, pe mana Patriarhului Daniel, al carui salariu platit din bani publici tocmai a crescut la aproape 15.000 de lei net.
In treacat fie spus, Patriarhul mai este si titular de curs la Facultatea de Teologie a Universitatii Bucuresti, de unde mai incaseaza cateva mii de lei.
Problema cu banii produsi in numele lui Dumnezeu este una mare si lata: impozitarea. Mai nimic pe chitanta, nimic fiscalizat. Patriarhia tine, probabil, registrele ei stricte insa fiscul nu-si poate baga nasul.
BOR nu da socoteala nimanui. Functioneaza ca stat in stat, intr-o ierarhie si disciplina de tip militar. Cine nu “da ascultare” sau nu primeste “binecuvantare”, zboara!
Intr-un astfel de sistem inchis, in care obsesia banului a devenit maladiva, prolifereaza coruptia. Nu vreau sa-mi imaginez – in acest mediu stricat de bani castigati usor – cum se repartizeaza parohiile, pe ce criterii, cum se inainteaza in ierarhia bisericeasca, in invatamantul teologic etc.
A existat o ancheta anul trecut cu Arhiepiscopul Tomisului, acuzat ca luat mita 850 de lei pentru a ajuta pe cineva sa se inscrie la Teologie, insa dosarul a fost clasat, IPS Teodosie fiind scos de sub urmarire penala.
Aici se cuvin cateva precizari: nu toate parohoiile se scalda in bani, nu toti preotii s-au stricat si nu toti se comporta ca niste verosi oameni de afaceri.
Avem destule exemple de marinimie, implicare sociala, har si dedicatie. Nu cred ca sunt nici putini, nici de acord cu ce vad in jurul lor. Dar nu despre ei vorbim aici.
Se vor gasi habotnici sa acuze campanii impotriva BOR. Nu are nimeni nimic cu Biserica, credinta sau Dumnezeul nimanui. Punem in discutie un sistem feudal de functionare a unei institutii intr-o tara membra UE. Atat si nimic mai mult. Aceasta mare corporatie va trebui sa functioneze, ca organizatie, dupa legi si reguli, sa plateasca taxe si impozite, sa se supuna controlului fiscal, sa-si prezinte transparent veniturile si cheltuielile.
Este, apoi, profund incorect fata de atatea alte firme somate de ANAF la cea mai mica datorie sa-si plateasca darile. Este incorect ca lupta impotriva evaziunii fiscale sa ocoleasca o gaura neagra in care dispar milioane de lei cu sutele.
Apoi, preotii pretind bani de la stat. Cu atat mai mult trebuie sa stim ce bani incaseaza, unde se duc, cine si cum dispune de ei.
Corect ar fi apoi, fata de restul societatii, sa plateasca impozit pentru profitul obtinut din moaste, nunti, botezuri, inmormanatari sau alte lucruri sfinte.
