Distrugerea identității Muzeului Țăranului Român
Muzeul Țăranului Român este continuatorul unor îndelungate tradiţii muzeale datând încă din 1875 când, la propunerea lui Titu Maiorescu, se va constitui, pe lângă Muzeul Naţional de Antichităţi, cea dintâi secţiune de artă textilă, cu lucrări făcute la ţară: îmbrăcăminte, covoare, pânzării, postavuri etc., de la care colecţiile-tezaur ale muzeului păstrează până azi mai multe exponate.
Ideea înfiinţării unui astfel de muzeu i se datorează şi lui Spiru Haret, care la 1 octombrie 1906 s-a concretizat prin înfiinţarea unui muzeu autonom al artei ţărăneşti: Muzeul de Etnografie, Artă Naţională, Artă Decorativă şi Industrială, cu sediul în clădirea fostei Monetării. În funcţia de director a fost numit eminentul istoric de artă, Alexandru Tzigara-Samurcaş, care va conferi instituţiei un statut ştiinţific şi cultural prestigios, adecvându-i şi numele, mai întâi, în Muzeul de Etnografie şi Artă Naţională, iar din 1912 în Muzeul de Artă Naţională. În 1931 a fost inaugurată expoziţia de artă ţărănească. În 1953 a fost mutat în clădirea Palatului Ştirbei din Calea Victoriei, unde va funcţiona timp de 25 de ani, sub denumirea de Muzeul de Artă Populară al Republicii, sub direcţia lui Tancred Bănăţeanu, remarcabil etnograf.
Anul 1978 va însemna unirea cu Muzeul Satului sub denumirea de Muzeul Satului şi de Artă Populară. În anul 1990, muzeul, sub actuala denumire, se va reîntoarce în vechiul sediu de la Şosea. Clădirea, declarată monument de arhitectură, a fost construită de arhitectul Nicolae Ghika-Budeşti, strălucit reprezentant al şcolii româneşti de arhitectură. Clădirea a fost recent renovată şi adaptată noului mod de expunere. Există un corp nou, adăugat în anii ’70, la acea dată colecţia de artă populară fiind mutată şi înlocuită cu Muzeul Partidului Comunist. Muzeul deţine colecţii fără egal privind etnografia ţărănească românească, incluzând costume, mobilier, covoare şi obiecte religioase.
Clădirea, ilustrare a stilului neoromânesc inspirat din tradiția brâncovenească, dispusă în forma incintelor de tip monastic, a fost finalizată în anul 1941, luînd înfățișarea actualului monument de arhitectură care este sediul Muzeului Țăranului Român. Zidăria aparentă din cărămidă roșie, arcadele și elementele traforate, foișorul amintind de clopotnițele vechilor mănăstiri, conferă clădirii somptuozitatea unui adevărat palat al artei. De la fondarea sa de către Horia Bernea pe 5 februarie 1990, funcționează într-o clădire în stil neo-românesc, declarată monument istoric. Muzeografia sa specifică i-a adus în mai1996 premiul Muzeul European al Anului acordat de Forumul Muzeului European.
Muzeul deține colecții de ceramică, port popular, țesături pentru interior, lemn, mobile, feronerie, scoarțe. În curtea muzeului dinspre bulevardul Ion Mihalache a fost montată o biserică din lemn, monument istoric din secolul al XVIII-lea, strămutată aici în anul 1992.
Muzeul Țăranului Român reprezintă cultura, tradiția, obiceiurile, etnografia țăranului român un ansamblu cultural inestimabil pe care astăzi suntem la un pas de a-l pierde. În luna iulie în incinta MȚR va avea loc un vernisaj unde vor fi prezentate tablouri cu maneliști, toate în foiță de aur de 22 de carate.
Țăranul român trăiește în mediul rural, având ca ocupație principală agricultura și creșterea animalelor / manelistul locuiește în oraș este un cântăreț care interpretează o muzică de calitate îndoielnică cu texte adesea vulgare sau obscene cu ritmuri specifice popoarelor orientale.
Ne întrebăm totuși ce legătură are țăranul român cu manelistul?!

Prin astfel de metode subversive are loc efectiv distrugerea identității Muzeului Țăranului Român și a poporului român.
România devine astfel o țară unde nonvalorile, incultura și mizeria socială este ridicată la rang de artă.
