„New York Times” RĂZBUNAREA nucleară a Rusiei pentru scutul antirachetă | Submarinul care ar provoca un tsunami radioactiv
„The New York Times” scrie că în timp ce oficialii americani și din NATO celebrau activarea sistemului de apărare antirachetă din Europa, cu tăieri de paglici și fanfară, reacția Rusiei exprimată joi poartă riscurile unui război nuclear, căreia i-ar putea deveni victimă România, informeaza digi24.ro.
Publicația americană îl citează pe un comentator rus, Konstantin Bogdanov, care a scris pe Lenta.ru că bazele antirachetă din Europa de Est ar putea accelera chiar panta către un război nuclear în cazul unei crize.
„Vor deveni inevitabil ținte prioritare în eventualitatea unui război nuclear, posibil chiar ținte pentru lovituri preventive. Țări precum România, care găzduiesc sistemul antirachetă american, ar putea deveni singurele victime, în timp ce Statele Unite s-ar reconcilia apoi cu Rusia „pe ruinele fumegânde ale elementelor est-europene din scutul antirachetă”, a scris analistul rus.
Orice redesfășurare a unor rachete cu capacități nucleare în Europa Centrală ar putea duce totul la statu quo-ul nervilor întinși din anii 80, scrie New York Times citând declarații făcute ieri de purtătoarea de cuvânt a MAE rus, care a acuzat SUA că încalcă tratatul din 1987 referitor la forțele nucleare cu rază medie de acțiune. Președintele Putin a avertizat că Rusia s-ar putea retrage din acest tratat, în timp ce Statele Unite au acuzat anul trecut Rusia că încalcă tratatul pentru că nu a declarat raza de acțiune reală a două tipuri de rachete, menționează New York Times.
În toamnă, reamintește publicația americană, oficiali ruși din domeniul securității au părut să sugereze și un alt răspuns militar la sistemul apărării antirchetă – o dronă submarină, care ar putea transporta și detona un mecanism nuclear (în apele Mării Negre, de pildă – n.r.) ceea ce ar provoca un tsunami radioactiv care să inunde și să contamineze orașele de coastă.
