Opinie sau manipulare comandată din ţară?
Președintele Iohannis anunța în ianuarie că a oferit un interviu pentru The New York Times, nepublicat nici până astăzi. În schimb, în cotidianul american apare un articol de opinie în care se spune că ajunge cu anticorupția în România. Cotidianul „The New York Times” a publicat miercuri un articol de opinie, sub semnătura lui Patrick Basham, care are un comentariu surprinzător la adresa evoluțiilor din ultima vreme din lupta anticorupție în România și vorbește de ”aparentele motivații politice” în cazurile Adamescu și Sârbu.
NY TIMES: MANIA ANTICORUPȚIEI ÎN ROMÂNIA
Patrick Basham este directorul Democracy Institute, o organizație de cercetare în domeniul politicilor publice cu sedii la Washingon și Londra. Institutul a fost fondat în 2006, iar Patrick Basham este și colaborator al Institutului Cato și director fondator al Centrului pentru AFACERI Sociale de la Institutul Fraser din Canada.
”Lunga luptă anticorupție a lui Traian Băsescu a fost relativ lipsită de rezultate. Pentru Băsescu a fost un instrument politic util pentru a-și ataca oponenții, dar și pentru a-i calma pe criticii americani și europeni ai modului în care era condusă România”, scrie expertul merican, in traducerea Digi24.
Odată cu victoria lui Klaus Iohannis, efortul anticorupție a intrat în vrie. Dacă autoritatea executivă rămâne la prim-ministru, Victor Ponta, liderul PSD, Președinția poate fi o PLATFORMĂ puternică de luptă anticorupție.
Acum totul s-a transformat într-un populism brut. Canalele de televiziune relatează fără încetare despre orice mișcare greșită. Cu instanțele care pronunță condamnări în cazul a peste 90 la sută din cazuri, zeci de politicieni din toate partidele principale au intrat în dizgrație.România nu mai are loc în închisori. Cu condamnări la CEDO, închisorile Bucureștiului sunt disperat de supraaglomerate. Ministerul Justiției a anunțat recent că încearcă să obțină finanțare europeană pentru a deschide câteva noi închisori. Aproape nimic altceva nu se mai construiește zilele astea.
De asemenea, autorul remarcă și practica denunțurilor. E o obișnuință ca suspecții să fie presați să dea nume în schimbul unei posibile clemențe. E, de asemenea, o rutină ca membrii aceleiași familii să fie arestați, ca o pârghie suplimentară în mâna procurorilor.Patrick Basham menționează măsura „orwell-iană” a arestului preventiv, pentru a-i închide pe suspecții de rang înalt pentru a nu mai comite fapte similare pe VIITOR.
În ciuda negărilor de la nivel oficial, toată lumea știe că instanțele nu sunt din punct de vedere politic atât de independente pe cât ar trebui să fie. Autorul articolului susține că i s-a spus că unii dintre cei arestați au legături cu interesele financiare ruse – ceea ce înlesnește portretizarea lor de oameni care servesc o putere străină, ceea ce, în ochii multor români, constituie o amenințare.
”APARENTE MOTIVAȚII POLITICE” ÎN CAZURILE ADAMESCU ȘI SÂRBU
În articol apare de șase ori numele fostului președinte Traian Băsescu și de șase ori numele premierului Victor Ponta. Însă în același articol publicat de un foarte important cotidian american, The New York Times, apare de patru ori numele lui Dan Adamescu și de trei ori numele lui Adrian Sarbu, în contexul ”aparentei motivații politice din spatele dosarelor cazurilor Sârbu și Adamescu”.
La fel de mult atrage atenția că The New York Times, un cotidian apropiat actualei administrații americane, publică un articol în care se arată că ”o altă consecință neintenționată a campaniei anticorupție este că a alimentat sentimentul antiamerican. Pentru că Departamentul de Stat și-a exprimat teama că o Românie coruptă ar putea deveni o viitoare Ucraină, cu o furie populară împotriva oligarhiei corupte care ar duce la tulburări sociale, unii români văd acum multitudinea codamnărilor ca pe o încercare de a impresiona America”
Or, cine din Departamentul de Stat al SUA și-a exprimat această teamă dacă nu asistentul secretarului de Stat pentru AFACERI Europene, Victoria Nuland, adică soția unui important editorialist al The New York Times, Robert Kagan?
ANTICORUPȚIE ASEZONATĂ CU ROȘIA MONTANĂ, TRUICĂ ȘI GHEORGHE STELIAN
Cine este însă editorialistul american care scrie că acțiunile anticorupție din România s-au transformat ”într-o cruciadă meschină” și că ”apetitul insațiabil al publicului pentru justiție nu face decât să exacerbeze amenințarea la adresa viitorului democratic al țării” sau că Romania are mai degraba nevoie de ”monitorizare media internațională, o comisie a adevărului” pentru a avea o dezvoltare democratică?
Ei bine, Patrick Basham, membru al Cato Institute, este autorul unui studiu publicat în toamna anului 2013 în care premierul Victor Ponta este denumit nici mai mult nici mai puțin decât un ”Blair al Balcanilor”. Nimic de mirare, atât timp cât un alt membru al Cato Institute îl proclama pe Traian Băsescu, în 2010, ”urmatorul Ronald Reagan”, iar Cotidianul a explicat de ce aici.
Basham a fost un mare lobbyst pentru proiectul de la Roșia Montană, l-a acuzat pe George Soros pentru că ar fi finanțat mișcările ecologiste împotriva proiectului, a susținut orice demnitar important din România care a semnalat că își doreste exploatarea aurului și, implicit, a susținut poziția miliardarului Benny Steinmetz.
Afaceristul care îi luase fata lui George Soros în proiectul de la Roșia Montană este Benny Steinmetz, unul dintre cei mai bogați israelieni, omul care s-a luptat cu Soros și pe zăcămintele din Africa. Steinmetz a cumpărat în 2009, pe bursa din Toronto, 16% din acțiunile Gabriel Resources. Steinmetz a dezvoltat o afacere cu Remus Truică, consiliat în România de unul dintre locotenenţii omului de AFACERI israelian – Sandra Meloni Horemans. Truică și Steinmetz au colaborat în 2013 pentru a obține un CONTRACT cu LOTERIA Română, după cum scria Bursa.ro. În spatele afacerilor celor doi s-a aflat și Tal Silberstein, unul dintre strategii politici ai fostului președinte Traian Băsescu. Afacerile lui Steinmetz au fost puse în legătură și cu numele lui Gheorghe Stelian, ”Stelu”, mult-audiatul la DNA, implicat în dosarul retrocedarilor ilegale, în dosarul Microsoft și cel de la care Elena Udrea cumpăra terenul din Floreasca. Ziuanews.ro scria în decembrie 2012 despre modul în care auto-intitulatul prinţ Paul Lambrino şi-a vandut drepturile litigioase asupra revendicatului patrimoniu al Casei Regale către acelaşi grup de interese al lui Traian Băsescu, reprezentat de Tal Silberstein, şi în care sunt bine ancoraţi Adriean Videanu şi Remus Truică.
Ne putem întreba oare de ce sau pentru cine face apel Patrick Basham la încetarea ”maniei” anticorupției și la un ”proces public în care faptele greșite din trecut să fie recunoscute, documentate și apoi iertate”?
”BLAIR DIN BALCANI” CADE ÎN DIZGRAȚIE
Ce urmărește Basham prin articolul său din The New York Times ar putea reieși dintr-o intervenție din 19 februarie 2015 la Realitatea TV. El spune: “Părea că România poate fi un exemplu pentru creşterea economică, dar acum nu mi se pare că lucrurile merg atât de bine. Ţara nu este atât de deschisă către investitorii străini şi din punct de vedere politic se întâmplă foarte multe lucruri. Din exterior pare că este o agitaţie continuă aici.”
Politicienii nu trebuie doar să spună, aşa cum a făcut Victor Ponta la Washington, că România este deschisă investitorilor, ci chiar trebuie să fie deschisă.”
Sunt declarații dure, pentru că sunt venite în contextul în care premierul Ponta efectuase o vizita in SUA în perioada 10-17 februarie.
Ceva trebuie să-l fi nemulțumit mult pe Patrick Basham, un lobbyst puternic al proiectului de exploatare de la Roșia Montană. Aceasta pentru că avea o cu totul altă opinie depre politica lui Victor Ponta în toamna anului 2013.
LUPTA PENTRU AUR
Într-un studiul de 35 de pagini publicat de Basham din octombrie 2013, în care Ponta devenea ”un Blair” chiar înaintea vizitei sale din acel an in SUA, studiu intitulat ”Tigru balcanic sau balta din Balcani? Amenintarea de astazi la adresa viitorului economic al Romaniei’’ se spune, în esență, că succesul ECONOMIC și democratic al României ține de inițierea proiectului Roșia Montană și de exploatarea gazelor de șist. Altfel, țara va bascula către…Rusia.
”Ponta va veni la Washington, timp în care va explica avantajele pe care le-ar avea în România unele dintre cele mai importante companii energetice americane. Ponta are dreptate când spune că România ar transmite un mesaj catastrofal, cum că nu este un partener de încredere, că ţara sa nu este deschisă către investiţii, dacă respinge proiectul Roşia Montană”, se arata in materialul amintit, care cita copios din New York Times, BBC şi FINANCIAL Times, dar şi din Evenimentul Zilei, instituţii de presă care aruncau o lumină cât se poate de proastă asupra lui Victor Ponta in urma cu nici un an, in vara lui 2012.
Publicarea materialului CITAT se întâmpla în octombrie 2013, în întâmpinarea vizitei lui Victor Ponta în SUA din aceeași lună, intermediată de fostul ambasador Mark Gitenstein. Acea vizită venea la o lună dupa ce Executivul a aprobat Proiectul de lege privind exploatarea minereurilor de aur şi argint din perimetrul Roşia Montană. Numai că, până ca premierul să ajungă în SUA, a ajuns ca în țară să faca celebra declarație cum că va vota, ca parlamentar, împotriva proiecvtului de lege al guvernului pe care îl conducea. Și tot până ca premierul să ajunga pe pământ american avea loc vandalizarea mașinii de serviciu al fostului ministru al Culturii, Daniel Barbu, de către niște protestatari ”de serviciu”, de data aceasta în ”serviciul” împotriva exploatării de la Roșia Montană.
Cine este de vina pentru proteste o spunea atunci chiar autorul de acum al materialului despre ”metastazarea luptei împotriva corupției în România”: George Soros.
”Finanţatorul-cheie şi pe termen lung al acestei campanii este George Soros, miliardarul de origine maghiară, care este bine cunoscut studenţilor americani pentru sprijinul oferit cauzelor politice liberale şi de stânga. Organizaţiile lui includ Soros Foundation Romnia, care a oferit câteva milioane de dolari de-a lungul anilor unor grupuri precum Open Society Institute, CEE Trust, Foundation for Civil Society Development şi Foundation for Partenership. (pentru acest paragraf studiul citează articolul ”Deşi are Quinta spartă, George Soros merge servit în Piaţa Universităţii, publicat de Evenimentul Zilei”.)
În cazul în care călătoriţi în România, nu puteti evita discuţiile despre rolul lui Soros, locuitorii exprimându-şi îngrijorarea faţă de influenţa lui asupra procesului de decizie din ţară. Străzile din Bucureşti sunt şi ele preocupate de rolul lui Soros, dar şi de cel al guvernului rus, iar inamicii politici ai premierului Ponta îi incurajează şi ii susţin pe aceşti opozanţi.”
UN SCENARIU PENTRU ROMÂNIA
Revenind la articolul de opinie publicat in The New York Times pe 4 martie 2015, concluzia lui Basham este următoarea:
”Ca arbitri ai bunei guvernări, nici Statele Unite, nici Uniunea Europeană nu ar trebui să tacă în privința abuzului guvernamental asupra puterii de punere sub acuzare. Sigur, o Românie mai puțin coruptă ar fi o membră mai bună a Uniunii Europene și un aliat NATO mai de încredere, dar ar fi o greșeală să fie acceptat volumul mare de acte de justiție în locul calității acestora ca o unitate măsurabilă a succesului.Campania anticorupție a României s-a metastazat imediat într-o cruciadă meschină. Apetitul insațiabil al publicului pentru justiție nu face decât să exacerbeze amenințarea la adresa viitorului democratic al țării. Guvernele american și european ar trebui să-i felicite pe români pentru noua lor determinare de a combate corupția, dar acum încurajează o schimbare în modul de abordare a guvernării.”
Această sugestie publicată în The New York Times pare a semnala că vizita lui Victor Ponta în SUA din octombrie 2014 a fost un eșec pentru premier și că vizita din mai 2014 a lui Crin Antonescu, președinte al Senatului si al PNL, pe atunci, a marcat noul început – la scurt timp Antonescu renunța si la sefia PNL și la candidatura prezidențială, în favoarea actualului președinte.
La fel, articolul lui Basham ar mai putea sugera că în România s-a făcut suficientă ”curățenie” cât ca proiectele de exploatare a zăcămintelor de aur, și nu numai, să înceapă, că nu este nevoie de într-atât de multă corupție cât să se ajungă pâna la nivel de corporații și multinaționale, pentru a nusperia ”piețele”. Mai trebuie doar o ”comisie a adevărului”, propune Basham (aceeași denumire o poartă o comisie propusă de ONU in Myanmar pentru aplanarea unor conflicte interetnice și interconfesionale de decenii, aceeași denumire o poartă o comisie ONU care a funcționat in El Salvador sau o comisie care a funcționat în Ciad în anii ’90), pentru ca România să se dezvolte în mod democratic. Pe plan economic, se pare că Basham consideră că, în ciuda faptului că este integrată într-o Europă a serviciilor și industriei, pentru România exploatarea resurselor naturale este suficientă.
