După semi-eșecul atacului politic, UE taie fondurile pentru România
După ce oficialii Uniunii Europene au taxat politic România, acum se gândesc și la varianta care ar putea lovi puternic din punct de vedere economic: să taie accesul României la fondurile europene.
Europarlamentarul ALDE, Norica Nicolai a declarat, ieri, pentru Evenimentul zilei că oficialii europeni urmăresc ca, după finalizarea Brexit, unele state membre UE, inclusiv România, să nu mai aibă acces la fonduri europene. Eurodeputata a susținut că după ieșirea Marii Britanii bugetul va scădea, iar concurența pentru banii UE va crește în defavoarea țărilor din Est.
Norica Nicolai a explicat mecanismul prin care se încearcă să se ajungă la asta, o tentativă care a eșuat în urmă cu doi ani. „Se încearcă să se ajungă la retragerea fondurilor pentru încălcarea statului de drept. Doar că nu există o definiție a statului de drept. Acum doi ani s-a propus ceva similar, dar mecanismul a eșuat deoarece țările mari nici nu au vrut să audă de o imixtiune a Uniunii. Ar mai fi o posibilitate, să ducă mecanismul în Consiliul European și atunci va fi demolator pentru că va fi condiționată de Iohannis. Care, sigur va spune să se taie fondurile pentru România, că așa îi spune Germania să facă”, a declarat europarlamentara. Ea i-a acuzat pe liderii europeni de „duplicitate și de fariseism”
